Wet Rooms/Walk in Baths

‘Helping to maintain independence at home’

The ability to bath/shower without assistance is a key factor for keeping full independence at home. These have become more fashionable over the years especially with the modern looks that are created within the Wet Room these days.

There are two types of Mobility Showers - Wet Rooms & Low level Access shower trays

Wet Rooms are basically fully waterproof rooms with a graduated drainage system in place. Such rooms by their very nature, offer excellent access without the normal restrictions and are especially ideal for wheelchair users. The floors are non-slip and are very safe to walk on.

Low Level Access Shower trays – are specially designed shower cubicles that often replace the space taken up by a standard bath. These come in all shapes and sizes to meet individual needs. To help access they have a low level or flat shower tray allowing improved accessibility and the ability to enter, in some cases,
with a wheelchair Options for an easy access shower also include non slip floors to improve safety and a seat can be added based on individual needs.

Customer Feedback:

“I Love my Wet Room, it’s so much easier than trying to get in and out of the bath. The workmanship was very good and quick. It only took 4 ½ days to complete – it would have only took 3 ½ days but the weather was so bad! It was all finished and being used just before Christmas. The price was very satisfactory. Our life has been a bit less stressed, Ability outlet have helped us no end with our Wet Room. Thank you – You have been very helpful, considerate and very pleasant! Thank you again.” Jean Cork, St. Georges Avenue, Sheerness
